Libby & Kate’s YALC Adventures

Happy weekend book lovers!

As always Book Box Club HQ has a been a whirlwind of excitement this week, we can’t believe that YALC started over a week ago. What a time we had! This year we decided to go all out and have our very own stall at the event and we are so glad we did. We had an absolute blast chatting to lots of bookish people and sharing the Book Box Club fun far and wide. Thank you so much if you came to our stall to say hi. It is always great to put some faces to the twitter/bookstagram handles!

It was also amazing to see so many Book Box Club members there, you girls know who you are. It’s funny, after chatting with some of you in the Clubhouse and online and sending out boxes to you each month it really feels like we already know each other and we feel so lucky to have such lovely warm people in our club. We just want to hug you all! Thank you for spreading the word of Book Box Club far and wide; we had a lady who mentioned she had been instructed to visit our stall by Hermione and Little Red Riding Hood in the queue into the building, it’s so great to have such enthusiastic and loyal members! Thanks girls!

What other highlights do we have? We were thrilled to meet some of our lovely Book Box Club authors in the flesh. Thanks to Alice Broadway, Peadar O Guilin, Lisa Williamson and Karen M. McManus for dropping by and chatting books with us. You guys rock! Another exiting major life event…bumping into Benedict Cumberbatch in the fire escape stairwell whilst sweatily trying to balance a large box and a stack of free proofs. Not embarrassing at all..

We’d love to hear about all of your YALC adventures if you too were there. Please do tag us as you share your blogs, we are not willing to except it’s over yet and are hell bent on reading any recaps we can find!

We’d also love to welcome all our new Book Box Club members. We value each and every one of you and we can’t wait to get to know you better in our monthly Clubhouse meeting.

Love, Libby and Kate xx
